Winterfest 2003 took place at Six Flags Over Texas on January 25th, 2003.

This years activities included:
bullet

ERT on Runaway Mountain with lights on for 30min and lights off for 30min

bullet

Surprise guest, Stan Checketts of S&S Power.

bullet

Superman Tower of Power tour

bullet

Lunch at USA Food Court consisting of BBQ beef and sausage and chicken strips.

bullet

Video presentations from Lone Star Coasterthon 2002 and Fiesta Fest 2002.

bullet

A video from Astroworld with Daryl talking about the changes at the park and the upcoming Spring Con.

bullet

Duane Brown from Fiesta Texas giving updates on the park and talking about Fiesta Fest 2003.

bullet

A few rounds of Coaster Pyramid (based on the $100,000 Pyramid game show).

bullet

A raffle for a prize package containing over 20 items including Six Flags season passes.

bullet

An auction including a Greezed Lightnin' wheel, a wheel from Roarring Tiger (now known as Arkansas Twister), a CCI shirt, a poltergeist shirt, a RCT2 cardbord display stand and a vintage Texas Cyclone photo (poster size) from Astroworld showing 4-bench PTC trains.

Changes in the region including new regional reps / assistants and the debut of the regional web site located at http://www.acesouthcentral.org

 

As always, Winterfest was a lot of fun and a great way to cure some of the off-season blues amongst friends and fellow enthusiasts.

Please note:  No cats (stuffed or real) were harmed during Winterfest.
