Excalibur - from outside park Excalibur--1st Drop

Excalibur was the second roller coaster built at Six Flags AstroWorld and was originally called the Dexter Freebish Electric Roller Ride. The name was changed to Excalibur in 1981 when the theming of the section changed to Nottingham Village.   Excalibur was removed in 1999 in order to install Serial Thriller.  Excalibur was to be rebuilt at Frontier City in Oklahoma City but it has yet to be built.  In 2001 it was laying in a field behind the parking lot at Frontier City.
